You know you did it right when your little one tastes your waffle and said “biscuit”. The perfect waffle is crisp and well-browned on the outside and moist, light, airy and fluffy on the inside.

Try this delicious Thermomix waffles recipe that is so simple to make (only 1 step) and ideal for breakfast or afternoon snack. It tastes almost like a Belgian waffle.

Also try the less sweet Belgian Waffle if you have more time to prepare.

RECIPES TIPS

  • Don’t open the waffles maker mould too early. Open up the waffle maker mould too soon will make the waffle sink or soggy. If your waffle machines doesn’t have a doneness indicator, watch the steam, and smell! When you see the steam coming out, then you will smell the waffle after the steam stop, the waffle should be done by now. (approximately 8 – 10 minutes, depends on your waffle make)
  • Non-stick is in the batter. If you using a non-stick waffle make, there is no need to grease the mould. The amount of butter in the batter is enough for “non-stick”.

STORAGE & REHEATING

This recipes will make 5 – 6 waffles. It never last for 30 minutes in our kitchen. If you need to store the waffle, put it into an air-tight container and refrigerate it within 2 hours of making them, it can last up to 3 days in the fridge or freeze them for up to 3 months.

Defrost for about 10 minutes. Then, heat the waffles in your oven at 160ºC for about 5 minutes. Note: If you’re purposely making waffles to store, cook them slightly less brown than you’d normally like it. Then, they’ll be just the way you like when you heat them up for the second time.
