Steamed Eggplant with Soy Sauce is a simple yet flavorful dish that highlights the natural sweetness and tender texture of eggplant while complementing it with savory soy sauce.

 10 g garlic, peeled
 ½ tsp salt
 ½ tsp sugar
 1 tsp sesame oil
 1 tbsp light soy sauce
 400 g egg plant, cut into strips, 1×1×5 cm
 500 g water for steaming
 spring onion, chopped

Place the garlic into the Thermomix® mixing bowl, chop for 5 sec | Speed 5. Then add salt, sugar, sesame oil, and light soy sauce, mix for 15 sec | Speed 3. until well combined. Set aside. Clean the mixing bowl.

Place the cut eggplant into the steaming tray, and place it into the Varoma dish.

Add water into the cleaned mixing bowl, place the steaming tray on the rack, cover with the steaming tray lid, steam for 20 min | Varoma | Speed 1.
Remove the steaming tray, transfer the eggplant into a bowl, drizzle with the previously prepared seasoning sauce, sprinkle with spring onion.
