If you always love one pot dishes, then you can make this One Pot Garlic Butter Shrimp and Rice. It’s seriously easy, and impressive enough for serving. This is definitely one of those recipes where I will keep repeating for daily cooking.

INGREDIENTS AND SUBSTITUTES
ingredient quantities please refer to the recipes card (Click here!)!
- Sweet Corn Kernels – You can use an equal amount of baby corn (halved) in place of corn kernels.
- Chicken Stock – Any other stock cubes can be used as an equal amount (you may skip this if you are cooking for baby / toddler)
- Salt – you may skip this if you are cooking for baby / toddler
- Shrimps – I used a small-medium size shrimp for this recipe, which I feel is a good size for this dish, where you can fit into one bite. If you use a bigger shrimp you may need to pan fry it instead of putting it together into the Thermomix® bowl.
RECIPES TIPS
- It will be best if you use the fresh shrimp. However, you might use frozen shrimp, peeled or unpeeled, tail on or off, it doesn’t matter. As long as it is defrosted before cooking. Most frozen shrimp already comes deveined, which makes peeling super fast and easy.
WHAT TO SERVE WITH?
Here are some side dishes that I think would make a great side to this dish and create a well rounded meal:
- Pan fried omelette strips
- Fried anchovies
- Fried shallot
