What is Donburi means?

Donburi (丼, also romanized as domburi) is a general term for “bowl”. It also popularly refers to a bowl of cooked rice with some other food served on top of it. In chinese, we call it ”Gai Fan” 盖饭.
You can also put some extra toppings on top of it, like seaweed sesame.

Salmon Donburi

Salmon Donburi. A bowl of rice top with salmon and eggs, drizzled with some sweet or savoury soy sauce paste. So easy, so delicious.

 2 Eggs
 20 g Whipping cream
 ¼ tsp Salt
 300 g Salmon fillets, cut into pieces (skinless & boneless)
 200 g White rice, washed and drained
 1200 g Water
 5 g Soy sauce paste
 5 g Spring onions

Put eggs, salt and fresh cream in a bowl, beat them up and set aside.

Put the salmon pieces into the varoma dish (with a plate without obstructing the steam outlet). Lay Varoma tray with baking paper, pour the egg liquid on the baking paper, cover the lid and set aside.

Put water in the mixing bowl, put the simmering basket, add white rice to the simmering basket, place the varoma set into position, steam at 18 min | Varoma | Speed 2. .

Remove the varoma set, and use the spatula to take out the simmering basket. Empty the mixing bowl. Put the steamed eggs in the mixing bowl, chop them at 3 seconds | speed 4 , and take them out and reserve later use.

Put the steamed salmon in the mixing bowl, chop it at 4 seconds | speed 3.5 , and take it out reserve later use .

Put the white rice in a bowl, drizzle with soy sauce paste, spread salmon and egg, sprinkle with chopped spring onion, and enjoy.
